Hi Kevin

Our Australian VGA is planning to convert to the US USGA handicap system next year and I'm interested in your conversion spreadsheet..
We have a social golf club that has been running for over 43 years and we have been adjusting our handicaps to VGA rules. We now would like to convert to the USGA (slope), but, like you mentioned in your article, we too play on many different course and will now have to adjust our H/C's to each course rating on the day.
I'm running Microsoft office 2007 and will be able to run your spreadsheet when it arrives.

Additionally I was hopping that you may have some formulas or charts on slope H/C calculation that you could send as well.

Kind regards

Ray

Sounds like this is exactly what I am looking for. Could you send me a copy of your spreadsheet?

I have recently taken over the handicapping for a summer league that has 16 players. The handicapping has been by hand in the past, but I would like to do it with a spreadsheet. We play 9 holes on two different courses. Do you have a spreadsheet that would help me?

I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

I am the handicap chair and we play on 3 different home course. I need a spreadsheet to do the following

Handicap index is 10.7 if it falls within 10.6 and 11.6, then the handicap will be 11. I need a column of names, a column for their real index and then a formula that will throw out their course handicap into another column.

Kevin,

Thanks for the link! What's your favorite golf place? Have you played in Europe, e.g. Spain? I bet that Alanya in Turkey with its great climate will be the next hot place after they have built several new golf courses.

Hi Martin,

The best place to get to know the rules is at this link. There are lots of good examples of rulings, updates and decisions published here.
http://www.usga.org/playing/rules/rules.html

Yes, Anika sure seems like a class act, at least in the public eye, who knows what happens in one's personal life.

Hope this helps!

I am thinking of starting to play golf. Do you have any recommendation for a crash course regarding the rules? It took me some time to learn American football, and baseball I haven't learned yet...

All the Best,

Gothenburg, Sweden.

P.S. Don't you think Annika Sörenstam is a great role model?
